Peter Consterdine Portal Site Welcome to the new and completely revised Peter Consterdine Portal “After 45 years in the martial arts this year (2008) and over 20 years in the specialist security and risk consultancy field I have amassed a wealth of knowledge and skills.I pass these on weekly to my training partners, students and other Instructors, but also want to ensure that this is also available to the wider community. Depending on your specific area of interest there should be a site and membership level to suit your needs. Because my years of experience in traditional martial arts, the competition arena, door security close protection and risk management, the volume of information I have to share is vast, hence the need for more than one site. The various membership levels are outlined below and once you register on this Portal site you will clearly see the process for joining the various site memberships – Bronze, Silver1, Silver2 and Gold. The Bronze level is a FREE membership.”
You will see that I have now separated the specific areas of interest into 4 Domains;
The British Combat Association The British arm of The World Combat Association and the membership site for our U.K. clubs and Instructors. The BCA was the organisation that brought self defence and practical martial arts out of the darkness and produced, over the years, some of the U.K’s foremost combat Instructors. The Association goes from strength to strength and to find out how membership could benefit you and your students enter here. The World Combat Association Launched in 2008, the WCA is the organisation for our international groups and their Instructors. The WCA was, very much, a product of demand. For many years, overseas interset in the BCA could not really be satisfied by a domestic U.K. organisation, hence the formation of the World Combat Association where all the benefits of membership open to our BCA people are now available globally. Find out about the benefits of membership….. Combat Corner With the BCA and WCA sites mainly for the benefit of a membership, I wanted to have a site specifically dedicated to both traditional martial arts, but more specifically, about the issues of adapting these to a range of ‘Personal Combat’ requirements be it the street, door, or any work related environment. A Forum, Newsletters, Training Tips, Downloads and an Advice Column are all to be found on this site, together with a range of discounted books and DVD’s for our sign up members. World Combat Zone This site is both a source and ‘clearing house’ for the very best information on Bodyguarding, Executive Protection, Bodyguard Training, Travel Security and the specialist security areas of Risk & Crisis Management. A forum, Newsletters, Training Tips, Employment Opportunities, DVD Downloads and much more are available on this site. Enter here to find out more. The site, naturally, deals with issues of Close Quarter Combat (CQC) and overlaps very much with many of the topics you can find in the Combat Corner site. Fitness and combat skills are very much a part of the specialised world of Personal Protection, but only a part, not the ‘be all and end all’. Employment opportunities will be a feature of the Combat Zone newsletter – subscribe to find out more. Membership Levels Below you can see the various membership levels for all the sites in the Peter Consterdine collection. If I can first explain that my own site has open access for every membership level. ‘Combat Corner’ (martial arts and self defence), and ‘World Combat Zone’ (close protection, police defensive tactics & CQC) both have 2 subscription levels of access, Silver and Gold. You have the choice to have full access to one of these sites with a Silver membership, or obtain a discount and have full access to both sites with a Gold membership. The British Combat Association and World Combat Association have separate membership structures, these being for Instructors, clubs, groups and their students. |
