Iain Abernethy presently holds the rank of 4th Dan black belt and is a senior instructor for the British Karate-Do, Chojinkai. He has been training in Karate since childhood and gained his first black belt at the age of seventeen. He is currently an A-class EKGB Kata Judge and has officiated at numerous national and international events.
The majority of Iain's training and study has revolved around the effective application of the techniques and concepts contained with the traditional Karate kata (forms). Iain's study of Karate's original fighting techniques has included a great deal of research into the close-range and grappling aspects of the art.
Iain is an Instructor within the British Combat Association.
