"I have recently purchased
your book Fit To
Fight and have almost finished reading
it. It is excellent, very accessible, detailed and unique.
I have a good knowledge of sports science and biology,
having studied them in college, however, I still learnt
an awful lot from reading the book. I have used many
routines and trained many people in fitness and strength
training, also winning power-lifting competitions myself,
yet I was still very much inspired by your training
advice and routines. So much so that I performed shuttle
runs on a hill followed by 8 x 2-minute rounds on the
bag! Awesome!"

The following was an e-mail from
Martin Cooper - U.K. to a friend in the States:-
"I would steer you towards his (Peter Consterdines)
Fit To Fight book and the accompanying 2
videos. Believe me, they are what any martial artist,
or fighter interested in their own supplementary training
need to continue their physical and mental development.
The attraction I have found is he shows you drills that
push you to the edge and you can also do them by yourself.
He has shown me how to push myself and use anaerobic
drills in such a way as to affect you aerobically,
thereby using your art to create a warrior fitness.
I feel when I train, not something I feel normally:
a psychological thing - just try it and youll
see what I mean."

| Seminar Testimonial
"Your seminar in December
was brilliant, easily the best I have ever been on,
I took home about 70% of what was passed on and feel
that I now OWN the techniques myself. That speaks volumes
for me personally because I feel that can only be achieved
by first class instruction and first class instruction
is what I got!"

Re: British Combat Association
"It was Mo Teague who advised and
recommended the British Combat Association to me and
it was he who brought me along to the Andy Norman seminar.
I havent looked back since. I am more than aware
of where I stand in the general scheme of things at
the BCA, but Mo, Geoff and yourself genuinely make me
feel comfortable and relaxed. I feel like I actually
belong there and for that I just cannot thank you enough.
My attitude and understanding towards my training has
improved tremendously since I started attending BCA
seminars and I will continue to support you in the future."

| Seminar
Testimonial
"Dear Sirs
Just a quick note to say how much
I enjoyed your seminars in Coventry at the AT7 Centre.
Mr. Thompsons morning session
seemed to be aimed solely at me, re-assuring me that
I am normal after all, having experienced most of the
fear symptoms that were discussed. What a relief! I
even surprised myself at the amount of instant aggression
I could generate with the right coaching.
I had always believed that I studied
a modern, scientific self defence art (Ed Parkers
Kenpo Karate), however, having had the pleasure of Mr.
Consterdines Double Hip techniques
at the front of the class during the afternoon, I soon
realised that no art is beyond improvement, and to stand
still is to fall behind. I am vividly reminded of this
every time I cough.
I hope to be included on your
future mailing lists, as I truly believe that the material
you are offering is exclusive, and as such is a refreshing
alternative to the majority of "How To" courses.
Both of you opened my eyes, and
I thank you sincerely for doing so.
Yours Faithfully"

"Many thanks for the swift delivery of the Powerstrike
video. It is an excellent product and the only negative
comment that I can make is that I wish Id bought
it long ago! Compared to many, so called, "Self
Defence" videos on the market, Powerstrike
is a much needed breath of fresh air. Thanks again."

Streetwise
An e-mail from Ed Ablon - U.S. to Peter Robins (C.O.D.A.)
U.K
"I have just finished reading Peter Consterdines
Streetwise book and consider it to be the
single, best book on Self Protection that I have read.
This is quite a rave considering the number of classic
Self Defence books that I own, including many old, out
of print texts.
Even though I was studying what I considered to be
practical self defence, Consterdine takes things onto
a whole different level of simplicity and directness
and makes me re-consider a great deal of what I have
learned and believed.
Right now I am hoping to order his Powerstrike
and Powerkick tapes."

Powerstrike
& Powerkick
"Peter
I am sending feedback on your
excellent video tapes Powerstrike and Powerkick.
I wanted to give it some time to review and tapes and
practice the techniques before commenting.
I really enjoyed the Powerstrike
and Powerkick tapes and found them really useful in
that you can indeed learn techniques from them, unlike
many martial arts tapes on the market. As you asked
I sent a copy to Lito Angeles, Geoff Thompsons
U.S. Instructor (who is the person who introduced me
to the double hip in the first place).
I think your tapes are invaluable
in teaching the principles of the double hip. It makes
you pay attention to important things like using one
side as a hinge, from the knee, hip and shoulder. This
is something people can lose sight of when executing
the technique.
Ive been able to apply a
lot of what I saw on the tapes. This was my first introduction
to the mechanics of the backslap, which I can make sound
like a whip when it hits the heavy bag.
Also I can really move the bag with the mid-level punch
and can actually get more effect with the right powerslap
than with any right hook."

Powerstrike/Powerkick/Pavement
Arena Videos
"I have been training over
three decades. I received my Shodan in Shukokai from
Kimura Sensei in 1978. I have studied a number of other
Okinawan/Japanese Karate Ryu and other methods, but
have always used the double hip whip. Your
videos on power striking and power kicking ARE EXCELLENT!
I humbly commend you on the effort and must tell you
what a pleasure it is to see highly skilled individuals
who are not practising BS! I had my wife order the first
2 Pavement Arena tapes and Im chomping
at the bit to get them. Im an ex-cop and
have worked a variety of security jobs over
the years, so for what it is worth, you gentlemen are
right on the money! Keep up the fantastic work, best
of luck and THANKS."

Dear
Peter
An associate of mine, with whom
I have been working with in Algeria over the past few
years, recommended your book The Modern Bodyguard
to me. I read the book with much interest and found
it to be one of the best books I have read on the subject
in a long time.

"Peter
I would like to thank you for the fast delivery of
my recent order from Protection Publications of Streetwise
and Powerkick.
As usual, they are of the highest standard and will
help me immensely with my own training. All of the books
and videos which I have bought from Protection Publications
have helped me increase my own understanding of how
to train and to develop effectiveness in the street.
Honesty and experience are present in all of your work
and it is a relief to find books by people who have
practical ability as well as martial skills. Thank you
for your hard work and dedication."

"Buying your book (Streetwise)
has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I bought the book expecting a few physical techniques,
but I was shocked at how comprehensive the book is and
how it deals with so many factors regarding personal
protection.
The insights you provide into fear and the reality
of conflicts have helped me more than another dozen
years of hard physical training could have possibly
done.
I would like to thank you for an absolutely first class
book and I am sure it is going to save peoples
lives - its certainly changed mine!"

"Dear
Mr Consterdine
Having acquired a copy of Fit
To Fight and Streetwise I must say
that I was deeply impressed, not only with the quality
of the contents, but also because of the sincerity with
which you portray how it is. Your books,
I believe, should not simply be martial arts ones, that
you find in the sports sections, but should be used
as actual self protection text books."

Dear Peter,
My work in power plant engineering requires extensive international travel including some very dangerous parts of the world. My wife Jenny is often not happy with some of the countries I have to work in and had reluctantly given up in asking me not to go. As a compromise she bought me your book “Travelsafe”. I highly recommend this encyclopedia of travel knowledge which is full of practical and earthy guidelines that can be applied by anybody. The essence of your book is that common sense is not so common any more, therefore the rules have changed and so must our perceptions when traveling to certain places. I remember on one of my most precarious trips (in which I found out my hotel room and phone had been bugged) that I slept a lot easier using your advice of ramming a simple rubber wedge under the door so that it would be difficult to push open and make such a noise that it would at least wake me up.
This book should be purchased by all major corporations who are truly concerned with the welfare of their employees engaged in international travel. It is also equally valuable to non business related travel. Well done in putting together a detailed but easy read.

Dear Peter,
Thank you for the training day CD’s and the prompt service you constantly provide to your customers. To many of us sometimes trying to understand the martial arts is like being given a jigsaw puzzle without the picture on the front of the box. The confusion grows with every word we read in magazines which often have opposing views as to what the martial arts should be and what is and is not effective in real combat etc. Your CD is the picture on the front of the box; it succeeds in illustrating a complete package of striking techniques in a set of drills that also provide physical conditioning. The drills are easy to follow and can be readily modified to suit ones particular art as you integrate typical boxing, karate, Muay Thai and other movements with no prejudice to any of them. You are often credited for introducing the double hip concept into the martial arts, this CD proves you have far more to offer whilst staying on neutral ground when it comes to martial art preferences.
